Frayed Ends Of Summer

Frayed Ends Of Summer

A Bulrush almost gone on a warm autumn evening.

This started out as a rather unspectacular shot of a lone Bulrush that has been sitting on my hard drive untouched since last autumn. I spent a little time in Lightroom and Photoshop editing it into a nice picture. Lightroom did some basic processing, cropping and converting to black and white, adding a warm tint to the image. Then in Photoshop I added a border, a little sharpening with unsharp mask and added a text layer. I probably spent about 30 minutes on this image, and 10 of those where trying to pick a font and get it look nicely spaced.
